the history of
the kittatinny players

The Kittatinny Players was established by Peter A. Mahler when Kittatinny Regional High School opened it’s doors in 1975. Mahler set high expectations and succeeded in developing a renowned program of excellence in the world of theater.

The tradition continues 42 years later with over 180 students each year involved in three theater productions. Our shows are created every year by hard working, dedicated, student thespians. With the guidance of a diversified, highly experienced staff, the Kittatinny Players continues to amaze audiences with their comedies, dramas, musicals and operas. The high school performs two shows, a drama in October and a musical in March. The junior high school production takes place in May. If you have not experienced the theater at Kittatinny Regional High School, come witness for yourself Sussex county's  off-broadway productions of the Kittatinny Players.
